Job Summary Associated Materials Innovations (AMI), part of Associated Materials, LLC, is seeking a Senior Customer Support Specialist to act as a strategic partner and single point of contact (SPOC) for assigned customers. This full-time, remote role offers $65,000–$75,000/year plus benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, paid holidays, and employee discounts.
The successful candidate will own the complete customer experience from onboarding through complex issue resolution, building long-term relationships based on trust, proactive partnership, and seamless cross-functional coordination.

- Serve as SPOC for assigned customers, guiding them through ordering systems, support resources, and escalation paths
- Conduct proactive outbound check-ins to anticipate needs and strengthen relationships
- Own customer issues from initial contact through resolution, coordinating across Plants, Customer Service, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Warranty teams
- Triage and resolve issues independently or coordinate cross-functional resources for complex challenges
- Use system monitoring tools to proactively notify customers of potential disruptions
- Investigate root causes, process credit/debit memos, and RMAs accurately
- Maintain knowledge of product offerings, lead times, pricing, and supply chain developments
- Provide technical product information and recommend alternative solutions
- Identify and communicate process gaps and workflow breakdowns impacting customer experience
- Capture and share customer feedback to drive product and process improvements
- Evaluate support processes and recommend data-driven improvements
- Occasionally visit customer locations to strengthen relationships and resolve issues
Essential:
- 3–5+ years in customer service, account management, or customer-facing operations
- Salesforce CRM experience (case management, reporting, account updates)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Professional communication skills across phone, email, and in-person channels
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder relationships
- Experience coordinating solutions across multiple departments
- Strong documentation, follow-up, and case management skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred:
- Manufacturing, distribution, or building materials industry experience
- Background in SPOC, account coordinator, or customer success operations roles
- AS400 or ERP system experience
- Experience supporting high-value accounts and executive stakeholders
