Position: Tier 1 Customer Service Representative (DSO Texas) | Remote (Texas)

Job Summary

Inspiri Tec is seeking a Tier 1 Customer Service Representative (General Clerk
2)
to support beneficiaries of the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). This full-time, remote role offers $17.75/hour and requires candidates to reside in Texas.

The successful candidate will respond to customer inquiries, research and resolve issues, and provide clear guidance while adhering to DMDC policies and procedures.

  • Pay: $17.75/hour
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:30am–8:00pm EST (8-hour shift)
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to DMDC beneficiaries using SOPs and knowledge base documents
  • Respond to customer inquiries with independent judgment and decision-making
  • Actively listen, ask probing questions, and clarify customer needs
  • Research and process military service member inquiries and complaints via phone or fax
  • Resolve problems by clarifying issues, exploring solutions, and escalating unresolved cases
  • Operate PC and multiple mainframe databases to research and explain information
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in problem resolution and documentation
Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service, listening, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively
  • RAPIDS Certification (provided during onboarding)
  • Security clearance requirement:
    Public Trust/NA CLC (Inspiri Tec assists with process; contingent on clearance approval)

Preferred:

  • Prior customer service or data entry experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
