$40.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Position Details

Position: Telephone Operator

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $40–$70/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: Approximately 3–4 weeks

Commitment: 10-40 hours/week, fully asynchronous and flexible scheduling

Role Responsibilities
  • Use your professional experience to design questions and training content for AI models in the telecommunications domain
  • Evaluate AI‑generated responses related to call handling, switchboard operations, emergency protocols, and customer assistance
  • Provide detailed feedback on accuracy, clarity, and relevance of AI outputs
  • Help train AI systems on tasks such as directory updates, relay services for the deaf and hard of hearing, toll charge recording, and special billing assistance
  • Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to improve AI understanding of real‑world telecom workflows
Ideal Qualifications
  • Strong experience as a Telephone Operator, including hands‑on work with switchboards, signal lights, call routing, and emergency assistance
  • Experience in roles such as 411 Directory Assistance Operator, PBX Operator, Toll Operator, or similar
  • Strong writing skills and comfort using computer applications and digital platforms
  • Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported)
