SummaryAs a Senior Reservations Consultant, you’ll be the primary point of contact for US-based clients and travel advisors, designing and booking bespoke, luxury itineraries to the Indian Ocean and Caribbean. Using your expert destination knowledge and exceptional customer service skills, you’ll manage the entire booking journey — from initial enquiry through to post-travel follow-up — ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for trade partners.
We’re a B2B DMC and luxury wholesaler specialising in the Indian Ocean and Caribbean, with a global team working in a fast-paced environment across bookings of all budgets and logistical complexity. We’re looking for ambitious, self‑motivated people to support our continued growth in the US market.
Key Responsibilities- Handle incoming reservation enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms from travel agents in the US market.
- Design, build, and sell complex, tailor‑made luxury travel itineraries, including high‑end accommodation, transfers, and unique local experiences.
- Share expert, in‑depth knowledge and personal recommendations across a wide range of properties and destinations in the Indian Ocean and Caribbean.
- Liaise and negotiate with hotels and destination offices to confirm availability, secure special requests, and obtain competitive pricing.
- Ensure all client documentation is accurate and delivered within agreed time frames.
- Spot opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling additional services, upgrades, and amenities to enhance the client experience and drive revenue.
- Resolve escalated customer issues or travel disruptions calmly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new properties, and relevant travel regulations for US travellers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience (3–5+ years) in travel reservations, sales, or operations, ideally within the luxury travel sector or a DMC environment.
- Strong, first‑hand destination knowledge of the Caribbean;
Indian Ocean experience (Maldives, Sri Lanka, Seychelles, Mauritius) is useful but not essential. - Exceptional attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to manage complex itineraries and multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident, engaging phone manner.
- A natural problem‑solver with the ability to think quickly and adapt in unexpected situations.
- A proactive, commercial mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as required by a global industry.
