Customer Service Rep, Call Center / Support
About the Role
Customer Service Representative (Remote) – 100% Remote, must be in EST. This 6‑month contract is for the busiest season of a high‑volume residential services team. Ideal candidates excel fast‑paced work, have strong communication skills, and handle challenging interactions with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities- Handle a high volume of inbound calls (average call time: 2.5 minutes)
- Assist customers with service inquiries, billing questions, and transaction processing
- Take residential orders for propane and heating oil
- Process over‑the‑phone payments accurately (basic math skills required)
- De‑escalate upset customers and manage difficult conversations
- Ensure adherence to productivity metrics: time in queue, call status, schedule compliance
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience (call center preferred)
- Ability to work in a high‑volume environment
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Basic math proficiency (accuracy is critical for safety)
- Knowledge of Office 365 and basic office equipment
- Ability to hardwire an internet connection via Ethernet (minimum speed: 100 Mbps upload / 20 Mbps download, tested at )
- 100% Remote – equipment provided: laptop, monitors, headset, docking station, credit card keypad
- Must demonstrate professionalism and accountability while working from home
- Productivity monitored by a dedicated team
- Overtime opportunities (Saturday mornings and extended shifts)

Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA. 100% remote.
