South Dakota NASDA Field - Phone Enumerator - Sioux Falls, SD

NASDA, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, is looking to hire a detail-oriented part-time Field Enumerator to perform tasks that support our organization. This position offers $17.75 per hour
, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for promotion based on hours worked and performance ratings. We also offer flexible schedules, the ability to work from home, work locally, and learn where your food comes from.

NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association that represents the elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories. Founded in 1916, our mission is to grow and enhance American agriculture through policies, partnerships, and public engagement.

In this role, you interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses by phone or in person, perform crop counts when needed, and record and deliver accurate data on interviews, counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked. You conduct your work from a residence with a reliable telephone and maintain a personal vehicle for travel.

• Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline‑oriented environment
• Represent NASDA positively in all survey actions
• Perform crop counts in designated fields
• Maintain a reliable personal vehicle
• Conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and others
• Basic computer or iPad proficiency
• Ability to carry or lift up to 40 lbs
• Walk unassisted on uneven ground for up to 100 yards
• Travel within 250 miles on a quarterly basis for training

This part‑time position requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weather, seasonal farm responsibilities, and community events may affect work hours.
