Volunteer Proofreaders & Copyeditors; Remote

iPub Cloud International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit publisher, is seeking experienced volunteer proofreaders and copy editors to support our mission of publishing stories that inspire change. Our books cover topics such as social justice, education, interfaith dialogue, global crises, memoir, and children’s literature. These assignments are project-oriented and will typically continue for up to 2 months (15-20 hours/month).

Work from home with flexible hours. Typically there are periodic check-ins via Zoom.

We’re looking for detail-oriented professionals who can help polish our manuscripts, blog posts, social media content, and other materials. This is a remote role with flexible hours and meaningful impact.

Help us to share and tell the stories of authors who are changing the world. You will work help to support our team to create beautiful content, and engage our community of readers, authors and social media viewers.

• Proofread and copyedit manuscripts and promotional content
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity (CMOS preferred)
• Provide thoughtful editorial suggestions while respecting the author’s voice.

• 5+ years of experience in proofreading or copyediting
• Excellent grammar, punctuation, and language skills
• Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to commit 15-20 hours per month
• Passion for books that promotes empathy, inclusion, and awareness
