Job OverviewWe are seeking a Graphic Designer / Technical Writer to support documentation and labeling activities for medical diagnostic products. This role is a hybrid of graphic design and technical documentation
, focusing primarily on formatting, updating, and managing documentation using established templates while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
This position supports a diagnostic division responsible for medical products. Work must follow FDA regulations and quality system compliance
, and the role is not a purely creative graphic design position. The candidate will act as a bridge between project teams and the technical documentation department
, coordinating information and ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule.
- Create and revise interpretation guides using Adobe In Design
- Manage product labeling documentation and formatting updates
- Compile and organize information from multiple cross‑functional teams
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
- Facilitate collaboration between project teams and the documentation department
- Track documentation updates, revisions, and approvals according to project timelines
- Apply formatting and labeling standards using existing templates
- Communicate effectively with project teams, regulatory teams, quality teams, and other stakeholders
- Maintain documentation accuracy while supporting project schedules and compliance processes
- Adobe InDesign (primary tool; approximately 90% of the work involves InDesign)
- Microsoft Word (used for method sheets and documentation updates)
- Basic familiarity with document management systems
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in graphic design, documentation, or related roles
- Strong proficiency in Adobe In Design
- Experience working in large organizations with structured workflows
- Experience managing high volumes of documentation
- Ability to work efficiently with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with FDA regulatory environments and quality systems
- Experience supporting documentation processes for product labeling or regulated products
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail‑oriented mindset with strong quality focus
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field is required.
Flexible work environment with remote work options. Local candidates may occasionally visit the office for team meetings or collaboration sessions. Non-local candidates may work fully remotely with team interaction occurring through virtual meetings.
Interview ProcessTwo interview rounds:
- Initial screening interview (30–45 minutes) to assess role understanding and interest
- Panel interview focusing on technical skills, communication abilities, and real work examples
This role focuses primarily on document formatting, updating, and documentation management rather than writing scientific content
. Candidates will gather information from cross‑functional teams and apply it within established templates.
Candidates with strong Adobe InDesign expertise, experience handling large documentation projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines will be most successful in this role.
