Your Role:As the Social Media Intern, you will support the rAVe [PUBS] and THE rAVe Agency marketing teams by creating compelling content for social platforms, helping execute strategic campaigns and assisting with day‑to‑day platform management. This role offers hands‑on experience in social media copywriting, analytics reporting, community engagement and short‑form video editing. Ideal candidates are creative, detail‑oriented and passionate about digital storytelling.
What You’ll Do:- Assist agency social media managers in writing day‑to‑day social media content across platforms including X, Instagram, Linked In, and others.
- Support the execution of agency and client social media campaigns from planning through to publication.
- Monitor client social media platforms for engagement, trends, and potential opportunities.
- Track social media analytics and performance data; assist with generating performance reports and insights.
- Help maintain brand voice, tone, and style across multiple clients and platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop creative content ideas tailored to specific platforms and audiences.
- Assist in basic video editing for use on social media channels, including clipping video interviews, product demos, event footage, and live stream highlights for promotional use.
- Help prepare video content for different formats (Reels, Tik Tok, Linked In, etc.) to increase engagement and reach.
- Ensure visual content aligns with client branding and platform specifications.
- Contribute to internal and external projects as needed – including writing, PR support, and event coverage.
- Basic understanding of the social media landscape, including channels, best practices and audiences
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and analytical skills
- Experience using Brandwatch or similar social media management tool
- Experience with social media scheduling or management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, etc.)
- Ability to write in different voices and adhere to different client styles
- Ability to work calmly and professionally under deadlines and/or crisis communications
- Organized and self‑motivated
- Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations
- Graphic design experience with Adobe creative suite or Canva is a plus
- Basic knowledge of short‑form video trends and editing tools like Adobe Premiere Rush, Cap Cut, or Canva Video.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Linked In, X, Tik Tok) and creating content in a professional, academic, or personal brand setting.
- Employees must be able to spend 8+ hours per day operating a computer to complete work.
This is a paid internship. Work will be performed at our office in Chapel Hill, NC with a remote work option 2-3 days a week. It is expected that you work at least 15-20 hours a week on an agreed‑upon schedule.
