Piney Woods Film Festival – A DBA of Broadcasting Texas pineywoodsfilmfestival.org

The Piney Woods Film Festival, a program of Broadcasting Texas (501c3 nonprofit), is seeking Volunteer Film Festival Judges to screen and evaluate submitted films for our upcoming festival. This is a remote opportunity. Judges will review films online beginning immediately through the end of April. We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy movies and storytelling and are willing to thoughtfully evaluate independent film submissions.

• Watch and evaluate assigned film submissions online
• Score films using provided judging criteria
• Submit evaluations within designated deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality regarding submissions

• Love movies, documentaries, or storytelling
• Have strong attention to detail
• Can meet viewing deadlines
• Are fair, objective, and constructive in evaluation

• Background in film, media, or production
• Experience with film festivals
• Education in film, journalism, communications, or the arts

• You must have no affiliation, involvement, or financial interest in any film submitted to the festival
• You must not have collaborated with, invested in, or have a personal stake in any submitted project
• Ability to evaluate films objectively and ethically
• Reliable internet access for streaming submissions
