  • Help organize assets and maintain status docs, editorial calendars, and contact databases.
  • Conduct research on industries, competitors, reporters, and trends to inform strategy and pitches.
  • Build accurate, segmented media and influencer lists using agency resources.
  • Draft first-pass copy of media pitches, press releases, advisories, social posts, and blog posts.
  • Monitor for awards/speaking opportunities, editorial calendars, and trending topics.
  • Assist with social media monitoring, community management, and content scheduling.
  • Compile measurement reports (coverage, social reach/engagement, click-throughs, etc.)
  • Support event planning and execution (press moments, panels, site activations);
Provide on-site assistance for select client or Abel events.
What You’ll Learn
  • How an integrated PR program runs—from brief to planning to measurement.
  • Pitch development, media outreach, and interview coordination.
  • Writing for different formats and voices (AP style fundamentals included).
  • Basics of measurement and reporting (coverage quality, share of voice, social platform metrics).
  • Agency operations: time management, teamwork, and professional communication.
  • The art of client service—client-ready notes, clear agendas and recaps, proactive updates, expectation-setting, and dependable follow-through.
Qualifications
  • Junior or senior pursuing a degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong writer with attention to detail; comfortable editing for clarity, accuracy, and AP style.
  • Organized, proactive, and coachable—able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with major social platforms (Linked In, Instagram, X/Twitter, Tik Tok and You Tube).
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Meet, etc.)
  • Availability during typical business hours for meetings/collaboration.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a positive, team-first mindset.
