Halcyon Group International is seeking a Journalist to support SOUTHCOM. This is a remote position but may require occasional travel to Doral, FL.
Job Description:The Journalist will research, write, and produce culturally relevant multimedia content supporting USSOUTHCOM objectives across Latin America and the Caribbean. This role requires strong storytelling skills, regional expertise, bilingual capability (Spanish or Portuguese), and the ability to translate complex geopolitical developments into engaging content for foreign audiences.
Requirements:- Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field. - Minimum of three years of experience in reporting and writing news articles, features, or investigative pieces.
- Exceptional writing skills with a passion for storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews, research topics, contribute story ideas, meet deadlines, and break down information clearly and concisely for the target audience.
- Proven work experience with demonstrable portfolio of work.
