The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs,Office of the U.S. Speaker Program (ECA/P/S) has a requirement fora full-time Virtual Program Producer.
The Virtual Program Producerareresponsible forall technical aspects ofvirtual U.S. Speakerprogram implementation. Theywill work with the management team to develop standard operating procedures and best practices for implementing virtual programs. Programs may involve a single embassy or consulate and U.S. Speakerparticipant, ormay involve multiple overseas and domestic locations and speakers. The Information Specialists must haveexpertiseusing virtual platforms including but not limited to Zoom, Webex,Microsoft Teams,Vimeo,You Tubeand other virtual technologies.
The incumbent must have experience streaming virtual programs using social media platforms including but limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as well as how to use interpretation components of virtual platforms. Theyareresponsible forall equipment testing and troubleshootingwith embassies, consulates, and speakers. Testinglikely will include multiple time zones. Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the understanding that early morning and evening programs will be scheduled to accommodate the needs of embassies and consulatesinother time zones.
While rare, a weekendor federal holidayprogram may be required. Previous experience working with overseas embassies and consulates is desired.
Virtual Program Producer willbe responsible for applying program enhancements, including but not limited to the creation of audio and video clips, podcasts, Snappy TV, and other technologies to virtual programs.
Information Specialists will manage virtual program archives for the U.S. Speaker Program, on platforms such as Vimeo and You Tube.
Information Specialists must be able toadaptvirtual platforms toprovide forforeign language interpretation.
- Demonstrate experience managing all technical components associated with virtual program implementation using platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Teams, and other requested platforms.
- Demonstrateproficiencywithstreaming virtual programs to social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Demonstrate skill with equipment testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with tools such as Snappy TV, creating audio and video clips, podcasts, and other virtual program enhancement technologies.
- Experience managing video archives using tools such as Vimeo and You Tube.
- Experience working with overseas U.S. embassies and consulates, and foreign host institutions.
- Strong ability to manage multiple speakers and virtual program sites at the same time.
- Strong,timely,and precise organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- A bachelor’s degree.
- Technicalexpertisewith virtual program platforms including but not limited to Zoom, Webex, and Teams.
- Technical experience with streaming to social media platforms such as but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Technical experience creating audio and video clips and using tools such as podcasts, Snappy TV, and other program enhancement tools.
- Ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance at the Secret level
