Editorial Assistant - Remote EST or CST

Job Summary

• Open to candidates in EST and CST time zones.
• Short-term role (temporary replacement for an employee on maternity leave).
• 35 hours per week.

The role provides administrative support to the Publisher of the journal:
Medicine.

• Fulfilling tasks in the submission system (Editorial Manager) such as assigning Editors to papers;
• Enabling articles to move to the next stage;
• Inviting reviewers;
• Removing unresponsive Editors;
• Inviting new Editors to join the Editorial Board.

• Experience working as an Editorial Assistant for an academic journal preferred.
• 12 months experience in an STM Journal Editorial Office setting or similar preferred.
• Experience working in Aries Editorial Manager submission system an advantage.
