Social Media Creative & Content Specialist
Remote within Canada | $30–$35 per hour | Freelance/Contract

The RoleWe manage social media for multiple clients (and growing) across Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Google Business Profile, You Tube, Pinterest, and Tik Tok. Right now, one person does it all. That person needs backup.
You’ll own the full production cycle: graphics, video editing, copy, hashtags, scheduling, and client approval facilitation. You’ll work within quarterly content themes with an established template library to pull from, then bring your own creative instincts to the table. Strategy stays with the Content Marketing Manager and execution is yours.
What You’ll Do- Design static graphics, carousels, and video content across all platforms
- Edit and produce polished short‑form video from client footage, stock assets, and original motion graphics
- Write platform‑native copy and captions that match each client’s brand voice
- Manage content approvals and scheduling through our social media tool
- Ramp into direct client communication as you get comfortable with each account
- Strong video editing skills: motion graphics, short‑form content, polished cuts from supplied footage
- Solid graphic design skills with Canva (or your preferred tool)
- Experience creating content across multiple platforms and multiple industries
- A writer’s instinct. Captions that sound human, not templated
- The ability to take creative direction and run with it independently
- Reliable, deadline‑driven, and genuinely invested in doing great work
- Comfortable using AI tools to support content creation. Not as a crutch, but as a way to work more efficiently without sacrificing quality or authenticity.
- Contract/freelance, hourly rate, paid monthly on the 1st
- Starting at 35–40 hours/month, growing as your client roster grows
- Production is front‑loaded to the last two weeks of each month for the month ahead
- Fully remote. Timezone within 3 hours of Mountain Time preferred
- This role has real growth potential
