Our Technical Production Account Executive will play a key role in ensuring that all technical and production elements of our events are executed seamlessly, professionally, and creatively.
Position OverviewThe Technical Production Account Executive is responsible for managing and delivering high-quality technical production services for meetings, conferences, and large-scale conventions. This role oversees preproduction planning, onsite execution, vendor coordination, and post‑event follow‑through. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, communicates clearly with clients and internal teams, and consistently ensures flawless technical delivery.
This position is hybrid offering a combined schedule of in‑office and remote workdays. It requires travel to event locations throughout the United States and Canada, and the ability to work irregular hours as event schedules demand.
Key Responsibilities Technical Production & Event Delivery- Lead end‑to‑end technical production for assigned events, including AV, staging, lighting, sound, broadcast, and virtual/hybrid technology solutions.
- Translate client needs into technical solutions that align with event goals and budgets; ensure all technical elements are accurately scoped, sourced, and delivered.
- Participate in pre‑production calls, kick‑offs, and site assessments to ensure technical readiness and clarity of expectations.
- Oversee all technical vendors, ensuring high‑quality execution and adherence to timelines.

- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, offering creative ideas and solutions that elevate event experience.
- Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally with clients and internal team members, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in event debriefs and post‑conference meetings; review things that worked well and note suggestions for areas for improvement.
- Manage technical workflows, budgets, and timelines to ensure seamless production execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation including production schedules, run‑of‑show scripts, technical drawings, and vendor agreements.
- Utilize internal systems to keep project records current and accurate.
- Support RFP responses by preparing technical specifications, production narratives, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate closely with sales and event planning teams to align production strategy with event objectives.
- Stay engaged in industry events and associations to remain aware of evolving technologies and best practices.
- Salary: $100K+ (comparable to experience, technical depth, and event portfolio complexity).

- 5+ years of experience in technical production, AV management, or live event production within the meeting, convention, or event industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, staging, lighting, sound, and hybrid/virtual event tools.
- Experience managing technical teams and working with production vendors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common production software/tools.
- Ability to travel (up to 50%) and work evenings/weekends as events require.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical production, communications, or related field.
