Overview
Job Title: Graphic Designer
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Creative Director / Head of Creative
CONTRACT ROLE: 1-Month with possible extension
The Graphic Designer serves as a key creative asset within the marketing team, contributing to a wide range of internal and external marketing initiatives. This role focuses on developing compelling and innovative visual designs across multiple mediums, including print, digital, email, and environmental graphics. The ideal candidate will possess strong creative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities- Create engaging graphic designs.
- Develop illustrations, sketches, and storyboards to visually communicate ideas.
- Design page layouts and build templates for consistent branding and ease of use.
- Participate in photography and light copywriting tasks as necessary.
- Represent the Creative Team during meetings, project briefings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Communications, PR, Operations, Digital, and CRM.
- Explain and rationalize design choices and concepts clearly and confidently.
- Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and priorities.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications for print and web.
- Maintain an understanding of color theory and its application in design and marketing.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality design work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro.
- Familiarity with AI generative tools is a plus (Midjourney, Firefly, OpenAI).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects independently.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Fun under pressure. A good sense of humor is a valued addition to the team.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Commercial Art, or a related field preferred but not required. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED may be accepted with substantial experience.
- Role is in Las Colinas, TX and for a term of 1 month, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance
- All employees must work in our office 4 days a week, with Wednesdays being the only approved day for work from home
The role requires the ability to:
- Stand or sit for extended periods.
- Use standard office equipment and computers.
- Lift and carry materials and supplies up to 25 lbs.
