Position: Motion Designer (Video & Multimedia)

Truveta is the world’s first health provider led data platform with a vision of Saving Lives with Data. Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Achieving Truveta’ s ambitious vision requires an incredible team of talented and inspired people with a special combination of health, software and big data experience who share our company values.

Truveta was born in the Pacific Northwest, but our employees are located across the country. Our team values the flexibility of a hybrid work model and the ability to work from anywhere. In-person attendance is required at least once per year for our onsite company meeting.

For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time.

Who We Need

Truveta is rapidly building a talented and diverse team to tackle complex health and technical challenges. Beyond core capabilities, we are seeking problem-solvers, passionate and collaborative teammates, and those willing to roll up their sleeves while making a difference. If you are interested in the opportunity to pursue purposeful work, join a mission-driven team, and build a rewarding career while having fun, Truveta may be the perfect fit for you.

This Opportunity

We are seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Motion Designer to join our Design team – a first of its kind. This is a highly collaborative, individual contributor role — ideal for a hands-on, experienced creative with deep expertise in motion design and strong video production skills.

You will be the team’s go-to expert for all things motion. Your goals will be to educate, excite, and to help simplify the complex. Collaborating closely with the Marketing and Communication teams, you’ll lead the production, editing, and animation for a wide range of marketing assets from marketing sizzle videos to website animations to animated social media posts. Essentially, if it moves, you’ll design it.

  • Please include a portfolio or reel that demonstrates your motion design and video work, including examples of process and final execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the resident motion design expert on the Design team
  • Own and execute motion and video content end-to-end, from concepting and storyboarding through final delivery
  • Create illustrated and animated videos and assets to support product marketing, brand storytelling, campaigns, and launches
  • Define and maintain Truveta’s motion design system and animation style, including templates, workflows, and asset libraries, ensuring scalability, consistency, and a high quality bar
  • Produce short-form animated ads and social assets across multiple formats and aspect ratios
  • Edit and finish video content, including screen capture, light live-action, voiceover-driven pieces, and motion-enhanced edits
  • Support occasional live video needs such as talking heads or recorded events, including setup, recording, and post-production
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Communications, and Design to translate strategy into compelling motion-led execution
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners as a strategic thought leader, offering creative perspective, sharing best practices, and recommending quality solutions
  • Stay current with trends and tools, including AI, in motion design, animation, and video storytelling to evolve Truveta’s visual expression
  • Support internal requests for employee communications, events, and initiatives
Key Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience in video production and motion graphics, preferably with a B2B/Tech company. At least 2 years of in-house experience is required
  • A portfolio that exhibits a history of successful video and animation solutions that effectively translate complex ideas into visual concepts, demonstrating a high level of craft and attention to detail
  • Proven experience producing high-quality video and motion content from concept to completion, including storyboarding, animation, and editing
  • Solid understanding of…
