Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Academic Writer Intern to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will work closely with our product and technical teams to create clear, concise, and high-quality documentation. Your deliverables will include product user guides, customer-facing decks, white papers, case studies, and more. The role requires working both independently and as part of a team, ensuring that documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and valuable to our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and collect relevant academic and scholarly sources
Write, edit, and format academic documents including research papers, theses, dissertations, proposals, and reports
Apply appropriate citation and referencing styles such as APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, etc.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using tools like Excel, SPSS, or Python.
Select and apply suitable research methodologies based on project and subject requirements
Ensure all content is original, plagiarism-free, and compliant with academic integrity standards
Create and organize supporting materials such as charts, tables, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations
Collaborate with writing, research, and editorial teams to meet project deadlines
Participate in review and feedback sessions and revise content as required
Stay updated with academic writing standards, research tools, and emerging trends in higher education
Skills Required:
Excellent command of written English with the ability to explain complex technical information in an easy-to-understand, clear, and concise manner.
Strong communication skills, including verbal communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and product teams.
Familiarity with creating user guides, product documentation, and white papers.
Ability to research independently and create plagiarism-free, high-quality content.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Experience in working with technical teams to understand product features and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
Strong attention to detail and clarity, ensuring all documentation is accurate, structured, and easily accessible.
Knowledge of citation styles (e.g., Harvard, APA, Chicago) and the ability to maintain a consistent bibliography, ensuring academic integrity and professional standards are followed in all documentation.
Eligibility Criteria and
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related technical field.
Final-year students and recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
Prior experience in academic writing or content creation is preferred but not mandatory.
Must have access to a laptop and a stable internet connection for remote work.
