Overview
This position will work alongside the league’s Director of Social Media & Content Generation. They will be responsible for graphic design and other content creation to be used on league social platforms, as well as league marketing materials. Examples of such content include graphics for Line of the Night (best hitting and pitching performance each night), Players of the Week, All-Star Event graphics, Playoffs, MLB debuts, etc.
Remote work is open to discussion should that be something the applicant would prefer. Please DO NOT apply for this internship if you are NOT willing to commit for the full summer or work holidays that fall in this time frame. The season runs from May 28th – August 10th (with onboarding and training occurring 1-2 weeks prior). Qualified candidate will be expected to work nights and weekends covering league (and possible exhibition games) for the entirety of the season (including holidays);
as well as the All-Star event (in July) and Playoffs (in August).
- Through the use of photography, graphic design, video editing or other design practices, help create content on a daily/nightly basis that can be used on the league’s media platforms.
- Be creative but mature in understanding what is safe to post and what is not.
- Help oversee team socials and alert league office staff of potential concerns/problems.
- Assist league staff with graphic designs for league marketing materials.
- Strong computer and writing skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and other graphic design programs.
- Experience with the following social media platforms:
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok. - Creative thinker and ability to take directions from staff.
