We are seeking a Content Licensing Specialist with expertise in researching, securing, and managing third‑party content rights for print and digital products. This role ensures assets align with copyright laws, company rights strategy, schedules, and budgets. The specialist collaborates with authors, editors, project teams, and external vendors to assess risk, negotiate licensing terms, ensure data accuracy, and deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective content on time.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
What you will be doing:- Act as an expert on McGraw Hill rights management requirements, ensuring compliance with copyright laws, assessing risk, and resolving rights‑related issues.
- Direct the research, selection, and clearance of third‑party assets for print and digital products.
- Guide external resource vendors in negotiating licensing terms and rates, serving as the primary escalation point for non‑standard or complex contracts.
- Collaborate with and coach authors, editors, and content developers on content planning, while partnering with internal and external teams to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective assets.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, monitor costs, and provide accurate budget and spend reporting.
- 3+ years of experience in project management and or content licensing, with a demonstrated ability to successfully complete projects.
- Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and project management skills to drive effective outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated understanding of rights management for third‑party content, including plagiarism, fair use, copyright, and permission licensing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.

Benefits and CompensationThe pay range for this position is between $40,000 - $54,500 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. to learn more about our benefit offerings.
