The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Iraq has recently announced the applications for the United Nations Volunteer Program (UNV) and is seeking 6 online volunteers to support a joint campaign. For those unfamiliar with the program, the United Nations Volunteer program is a global initiative of the United Nations that promotes peace and sustainable development through volunteerism.

The UNV is hosted by the UNDP, which offers an opportunity to individuals to contribute their time, skills to the meaningful causes around the world.

You must know UNV is an online volunteer assignment, and it’s a short-term, non-contractual assignment. Online Volunteers are not paid any allowance for the tasks; however, they receive an appreciation certificate on successful completion of assignments. Currently, UNDP Iraq is looking for motivated and talented individuals, specifically a Graphic designer and an Animator/Multimedia designer, to develop social media campaigns and animation products for the joint campaigns.

The duration of the program is 8 weeks, during which volunteers will contribute between 6-10 hours per week; all the tasks will be carried out remotely under the supervision of the UNDP specialist.

Task:
Design Animation Products for Joint Campaign

Under the supervision of the UNDP Iraq Specialist, the UN Volunteer animator will support the assigned team in creating animated content that will communicate the key message of UNDP. The assignment includes developing animations of graphics for social media platforms, video campaigns, and presentations

• Applicants must know the usage of animation software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
• Understanding of motion graphics
• Can integrate sound, subtitles, or voiceovers in their animated content
• Demonstrate interest in volunteering and delivering high-quality work

Task:
Design social media package for Joint Campaign

Under the supervision of the dedicated UNDP specialist, the online volunteer graphic designer will assist their team in designing social media posts and templates for future campaigns.

• Candidates with professional experience in Graphic design
• Proficiency in Graphic design tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
• Excellent design and communication skills
• Demonstrate interest in volunteering and delivering high-quality work
