Job Description: Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a Senior 3D Generalist with a focus on Houdini Grooming to join our cinema tics team. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and capable of developing new workflows and refining processes. This is a 3-month temporary position. The role is anticipated to be hybrid, with some on-site and some remote work. The potential home studio is Irvine, CA, with flexibility to explore other options, including remote arrangements.

Hybrid work arrangement; on-site and remote options available.

• Deliver high quality photo-realistic work and highly stylized looks.
• Collaborate with surfacing and simulation teams to produce visually compelling and functional results.
• Develop and refine workflows; leverage technical expertise in Maya and Houdini.

• Minimum Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience using Maya and Houdini in a professional environment (Game Studio, Animation Studio, or VFX Studio).
• 8+ years of grooming experience in Houdini.

• Expert at troubleshooting and solving problems independently.
• Deep understanding of VFX Production Pipelines.
• Ability to take creative direction and enhance the creative process.

• Experience with VEX.
• Experience with Python.
• Working knowledge of Katana, Render Man, Redshift, Solaris.
