Ripple Effect is seeking a Senior Graphic Design Associate to support our creative team in delivering outstanding visual communications. In this role, you will be responsible for independently completing, editing, and providing technical recommendations for graphic design projects, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with our clients' needs and organizational standards. ResponsibilitiesInclude
- Creates and reviews graphic design work for quality and responsiveness, and recommends preferred design execution methods within project scope with minimal supervision.
- Leads design discussions in meetings, prepares and reviews communications such as design briefs and status reports, and mentors others on effective communication practices.
- Evaluates compliance of design work with contractual guidelines and relevant regulations, and recommends actions to ensure adherence within the project scope.
- Designs and executes analytical approaches to inform project decisions, translates data into actionable design insights, and guides team members in interpreting these insights.
- Leads adherence to established quality management processes, acts as a gatekeeper for design quality, and executes corrective actions to address nonconformities.
- Leads the development of design documentation, including style guides, process guidelines, and project findings, and ensures that all documentation supports reproducibility and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience, additional education substitutes for experience.
- Previous employment with Ripple Effect.
- Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro).
- Advanced experience with design of health or science-related branding, digital media, and myriad assets (logos, brochures, posters, catalogs, animations, etc.) for website and social media platforms in addition to printed materials.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office productivity software and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience working with federal, military, and/or non-profit clients focused on the health and science sector.
- Intermediate experience with AI tools, including their limitations and risks, and how they can be applied to support project management tasks.
- A multifaceted portfolio showcasing a diverse range of graphic design products for digital, print, and social media mediums.
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
- Understanding of 508 compliance and web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
