We are looking for a Music Editor / Mixer to join our friendly and growing team, working with multi-tracked music recorded in studios for film, TV, trailer & music projects.
MMUK is a close-knit team working on the orchestration, recording, editing, and mixing of live recorded Orchestral Film Soundtracks and Production Music. We pride ourselves on working at the highest professional standards across a wide range of projects, while offering a supportive work environment that utilises and builds on the strengths of our staff. As a small team, having a positive attitude, demonstrating commitment, and being proactive is incredibly important to us.
THE ROLE
The role will be mainly audio / DAW focused (as opposed to notation-based), and will include:
- Incredibly detailed Pro Tools multi-track audio editing, from solo piano to full orchestra
- Cleaning up recorded audio (removing artifacts, clicks, noise, tuning etc) using iZotope RX
- Some mixing of multi-tracked recordings, predominantly for Production Music, in Pro Tools
There will also be opportunities to be directly involved in recording sessions (both in the UK and abroad), and the chance to learn aspects of session orchestration and conducting from company Director Daryl Griffith, a highly respected award-winning composer, conductor and orchestrator.
We are searching for a film and music lover with a keen interest in music for Film & TV, who is:
- A focused, meticulous, and organised engineer/editor, with a strong attention to detail
- An accomplished musician with a love for music of all genres (whilst not strictly essential, high instrumental music grades and score-reading skills would be very advantageous)
- Familiar with Pro Tools in recording, editing, and mixing capacities, and uses MacOS
- Able to demonstrate working knowledge of recording studio / post production settings
- Comfortable working in a small team and/or independently, often to tight deadlines
- Potentially interested in developing their notation, programming, producing, or video skills

The position will be a permanent full-time role offering a competitive salary, working from our facility in Crawley. Note, the role is not ‘work from home’, so please don’t ask!
