Job Title/Position: On-air personality for talk shows, news, entertainment segments, sports highlights, DJs, comedy, health professionals and financial advisers.

Location: Remote / Virtual

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • On-air personalities are the face and voice of the station.
  • Create the tone and style of the station and establish a relationship with listeners.
  • Entertain an audience during a given time slot by captivating and engaging them.
  • Take initiative, improvise, and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Develop original content and stimulating topics for the show.
  • Interview guests, celebrities, and public officials in the studio, live stream, or on location.
  • Announce news, weather, sports, and traffic information.
  • Introduce and discuss genres of music, avoiding heavy rotation of the same song within 24 hours.
  • Live streaming required.
  • Post content to the station's social media.
  • Make personal appearances to promote sponsors and cover events such as sports and concerts.
  • Maintain an awareness of media law.
    • Qualifications and Skills:
  • On-air and/or live stream experience, including radio, TV, and social media production.
  • Knowledgeable on current affairs, news issues, and social trends.
  • Research topics and background information for items to be featured on the show.
  • Outgoing personality with a clear and distinct speaking voice.
  • Good sense of humor.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Personal laptop, cellphone, microphone, and mixer board.
  • High-speed internet connection to broadcast from home.
  • Organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Facebook & Twitch.
  • Prior media or communications studies is an advantage.
