Overview
As a Graphic Designer
, you will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact and clearly convey the Bunzl message. In this role you will leverage a strong creative eye, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to time management, budgets, and deadlines. Bunzl has an internal/in-house creative agency, we call Blue Print. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer to join this agency team.
As our team continues to expand, this position offers future opportunities to grow, evolve, and help build out creative and digital capabilities within the organization. Candidates who bring both strong design skills and digital marketing strategy experience will be especially well positioned to make a high impact. This is an onsite, dayshift role in our Chicago IL (Morton Grove) office.
There may be some flexibility to work from home a few 2-3 days per month if necessary.
- Collaborate with the Creative, Brand, and Ops teams to define marketing strategies while contributing innovative ideas and creative solutions.
- Develop creative concepts to meet marketing needs.
- Create logo concepts for new & legacy brands.
- Design social media graphics and email blast graphics for company wide newsletters.
- Work with the Marketing Content Specialist on product copy.
- Create and manipulate images and artwork in Photoshop.
- Design and layout Order Guides and Catalogs in InDesign.
- Design large format signage in Illustrator for Sales Conferences and Trade shows.
- Develop interactive ads and banners for websites and apps.
- Update Word Press websites and assist in building websites as needed.
- Work with outside vendors such as printers, photographers, and manufacturers.
- Create and edit presentations using PowerPoint.
- Utilize project management tools to stay organized and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally as a true team player within the Blueprint in-house agency and with other departments.
- Proofread and prepare files for print production.
Digital Strategy Experience
- Experience in digital marketing strategy is a strong plus. Support demand generation and digital performance across channels like SEO, social media, email, and websites.
- Manage and update website content to drive engagement.
- Leverage Microsoft Dynamics CRM for audience segmentation, campaign execution, and lead nurturing.
- Video editing experience is a strong plus, including creating and editing short-form and long-form video content for marketing campaigns, social media, internal communications, and digital platforms.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Lead, Senior Creative Manager, and the Blueprint team to ensure cohesive execution.
- Graphic design skills combined with digital strategy and video editing experience allow for faster turnarounds and more integrated, multimedia campaigns.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of professional graphic design experience required.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Office 365, Smart Sheet, and PowerPoint.
- Proven creative and visual skills demonstrated through a portfolio review.
- Knowledge of both print and web design processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility and patience in adapting designs to changing priorities or feedback.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in grammar and spelling.
- Excellent team collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Impeccable communication skills.
- Candidates may also be asked to complete a brief design project as part of the interview process.

- The salary range for this role is a base of $70,000-$90,000/ year based on education, experience and geography.
