This is a full-time hybrid role for a Creative Director based in South Lyon, MI, with some flexibility to work from home.
This critical position will report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities- Develop, design and create graphic design and artwork from concept to completion for an extensive variety of materials, packaging, web-related marketing, electronic publications, posters, certificates and other marketing materials.
- Design and develop online marketing initiatives such as websites, banners, and info graphics.
- Maintain online TNG catalog to remain current, reflecting all discontinued and new products.
- Coordinate and produce new product packaging requests from CEO and Purchasing. Ensure brand consistency. Work with supplier in providing artwork files, and proofing and approving artwork before print. Create templates when needed.
- Product photography, image retouching, outlining, shadows and manipulation.
- Provide descriptions and images for new products or updated packaging for Amazon and TNG websites.
- Coordination with Sales Duo (offsite service for Amazon projects)
- Provide images and content when requested.
- Maintain a spreadsheet database (spreadsheet and images) for each of our brands’ website images and submit yearly to our offsite registrar for copyrighting.
- Coordinate production of print and web materials (including label orders or quotes for materials as needed).
- Acting photographer at all corporate events.
- Communicate with internal personnel to obtain specific project information and job requirements.
- Develop new ideas, concepts or designs. Explore new design solutions.
- Ability to take any job from concept to print, as well as from research to concept to production.
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality results.
- Be self-motivated as well as work cooperatively in groups.
- Recognize and troubleshoot copy discrepancies.
- Proof all design projects, as to achieve 99% error free.
- Plan and organize in detail considering objectives, priorities and interrelations between tasks required.
- Recognize when additional information is necessary for non-routine decisions and make timely decisions considering the long‑term effects of the decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of computer graphic design techniques; graphic‑art offset printing standards, techniques, and materials; design and desktop publishing software; typography or printing and bindery processes.
- Experience:
conceptualizing ideas and translating into visual representation for print and web. - Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite:
InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop on Mac OS platform. - Flash, HTML/XHTML, CSS and any web related experience is a plus.
- Portfolio showcasing creative projects and successful branding strategies.
