Graduate Visual UI Designer
Location:
Remote in the EMEA region.
Canonical’s Visual UI Designer role helps transform complex, open‑source software into intuitive experiences that can change the face of enterprise IT. Working with visual designers, UX designers, user researchers, and engineers, you will deliver high‑quality design work for digital and social assets, events, and the Ubuntu platform.
What you’ll do- Design visual identities, brand experiences, and UI assets that support the Ubuntu and Canonical brands.
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to create user-friendly, accessible interfaces.
- Contribute to product design strategy, usability research, and design system maintenance.
- Excellent academic results at school and university
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Art / Design
- Exceptional design talent with experience in branding, including visual identities and brand experiences
- Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology and design
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement – curious, flexible, scientific
- Engagement with the latest design research and innovation
- Proficiency with design tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, or Penpot
- Fully remote working environment
