Academy of Art University is seeking a Lab Technician to work within our School of Animation & Visual Effects for the Spring 2026 Semester. This position will work closely with our students utilizing our lab resources. Ideal candidates will have exceptional customer service skills, a love for the arts, and the ability to work with a diverse student body. This is an on-site position, located in San Francisco.
** Responsibilities:
*** Perform junior-level network administration for Windows and Mac network environment
* Perform software and hardware installation, troubleshooting and upgrades
* Assist students with any software/hardware issues that may arise
* Work in coordination with the front desk to ensure the smooth workflow
* Provide support and assistance to the Department Director
* Provide support to department for Spring Show and other events as needed.
* Provide excellent customer service. Provide a cordial and friendly presence to students, faculty and staff.
* Maintain guidelines set forth by the Academy of Art University
* Maintain a clean, functional and productive learning environment
* Protect equipment from theft or vandalism
* Perform other duties as assigned
** Compensation:**$22.00/hour
