-Time Graphic Designer / Pre-Flight & Digital Press Operator to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working remotely and at our Minneapolis, MN office, where you’ll be responsible for bringing creative visions to life and ensuring flawless print production.
This hybrid position combines creative graphic design with technical pre-flight and digital press operation. You’ll be responsible for designing marketing materials, preparing files for print, and operating our Canon digital press to produce high-quality printed products. This role requires a blend of artistic talent, technical proficiency, and a meticulous attention to detail.
ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design:
- Create visually appealing designs for a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, business cards, and social media graphics.
- Develop and maintain brand consistency across all design projects.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions.
- Present design concepts and revisions to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Pre-Flight & Digital Press Operation:
- Prepare print-ready files using pre-flight software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with print specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pre-flight issues.
- Operate and maintain the Canon digital press, including loading media, adjusting settings, and performing routine maintenance.
- Produce high-quality printed materials, ensuring accurate color reproduction and print quality.
- Perform post-press operations, such as trimming, folding, and binding, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of print jobs and inventory.
- Troubleshoot press issues and perform basic maintenance.
General:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Work both remotely and in-office as required.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience in pre-flighting files for digital printing.
- Experience operating a digital press (Canon preferred, but training provided).
- Strong understanding of print production processes and terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup for remote work.
- Relevant degree or certification in graphic design or related field.
- Full-time, hybrid position (remote and in-office).
- Flexible work schedule, with some required in-office hours.
- Training and support provided for Canon digital press operation.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
