We are seeking a talented and imaginative Digital and UI Designer to join the Design Ops Team in Royal London as we accelerate our digital experience transformation and reimagine our digital services.

As a Digital & UI Designer you will join a strong team within our Digital Office with likeminded colleagues passionate about crafting seamless digital experiences and visually engaging interfaces.

The role involves designing the visual aspects of Royal London's digital interfaces such as websites, mobile apps and other software as required.

About the role
  • Act as guardian of the Royal London Brand for various online services ensuring consistent application of Royal London's design language.
  • Participate in the evolution of Royal London's Design System to meet the needs of specific programmes of work.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Assist in defining elements of layout and design patterns for digital services, emails, infographics and other digital assets.
  • Collaborating with Designers, Engineers and Product Owners to implement visual concepts.
  • Development of visual designs and animations as required to support both internal and external engagement objectives.
  • Participate in organising assets and maintaining version control of design files.
About you
  • Proven track record as a UI Designer with a portfolio covering websites and mobile apps.
  • Strong proficiency with industry standard tooling such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of working with Design Systems.
  • Expert in responsive and adaptive web design with mobile first thinking.
  • Comfortable with being vocal and using insight to influence and persuade.
