Position: Video Editor – Podcast Videos (On-site)

We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor to join our team on-site in London, Ontario to specialize in podcast and talking head video edits. This role is ideal for someone who understands storytelling through video, dynamic editing techniques, and social-first content creation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing high-quality podcast content, interview‑style videos, and talking head formats for platforms like You Tube, Tik Tok, and Instagram Reels. This includes multi‑camera editing, enhancing viewer engagement, and maintaining a polished, professional look.

This is an on‑site role, providing direct collaboration with the creative team to enhance video quality, ensure brand consistency, and execute content strategies effectively.

Responsibilities Podcast & Talking Head Video Editing

• Edit long‑form podcast episodes for You Tube and other distribution platforms, ensuring clean cuts and seamless transitions.
• Work with multi‑camera footage, syncing audio and video for a professional final product.
• Edit talking head and interview‑style content, maintaining a balance between professionalism and engagement.
• Enhance audio clarity and background noise reduction for a crisp and professional sound.
• Add captions, graphics, and on‑screen elements to improve accessibility and viewer retention.
• Incorporate B‑roll footage, motion graphics, and engaging transitions to break up long‑form content and maintain audience engagement.

Short‑Form Video Editing (Social Media Content)

• Repurpose podcast clips and talking head videos into Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts.
• Use dynamic captions, zoom effects, and fast‑paced editing to maximize engagement.
• Cut and reformat content for cross‑platform distribution, ensuring optimal aspect ratios and layouts for each platform.

Technical & Creative Execution

• Color‑correct and grade footage to ensure a polished, high‑quality look.
• Optimize video and audio quality for You Tube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and social media.
• Stay up‑to‑date with video trends, editing styles, and platform best practices to keep content engaging and fresh.

Collaboration & Workflow Management

• Work closely with the content team, podcast hosts, and social media strategists to execute video concepts effectively.
• Manage and organize raw footage, project files, and final deliverables in an efficient and structured way.
• Optimize workflow to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience editing podcast and talking head videos, with a strong portfolio showcasing past work.
• Proficiency in industry‑standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro).
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention tactics for long‑form and short‑form content.
• Ability to incorporate engaging transitions, captions, and motion graphics to enhance video engagement.
• Experience with multi‑camera editing and professional audio syncing.
• Strong audio editing skills (Adobe Audition, Descript, or similar software experience preferred).
• On‑site availability in London, Ontario – remote work is negotiable for this position.
