Field Safety Officer​/SSHO

Overview

Eutaw Construction Company, Inc. is currently seeking a Field Safety Officer to join our experienced team. We are a 100% employee-owned heavy-equipment civil contractor, principally engaged in the construction of streets, highways, utility systems, and public and private commercial site-preparation projects in the southeastern United States.

We are looking for an experienced Field Safety Officer/SSHO to provide support to our Safety/Loss Control Department. In this role, you will be entrusted with an ongoing mission to provide project site safety and health support; to quickly transition and refocus on diverse tasks related to program management; and to multitask while maintaining complex schedules and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate for this job will have practical experience and soft skills to be a team player, resourceful, a proven problem solver, and highly organized.

The successful candidate will be experienced in all areas of project site safety support, have superior technical skills, and be able to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of our program agenda.

Locations: Hubbard, TX - Clarksville, AR - Vicksburg, MS - Meridian, MS

Field Safety Officer (A6).

Location:

100% travel to various job sites as needed and directed.

Salary:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and marketplace factors. Salaried exempt employee position.

Probationary Period: 90 days.

Tenure:
The position is available immediately.

• 3 - 5 years’ experience serving as a Field Safety Officer/SSHO or similarly designated position in the heavy equipment civil construction industry.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Certification
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications
• Trench & Excavation Competent Person Training
• Confined Space Competent Person Training
• OSHA Fall Protection Certification

• OSHA 510
• CSP or similar industry credentials

• Skill in effective time management while handling multiple tasks
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills
• Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
• Familiarity with our industry, especially safety/loss control and compliance
