Wage: $134,992 - $155,000 per year*
Job DutiesPlan, direct, or coordinate activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Assist the superintendent in the implementation of DPR policies and execution of the construction project. Understand and enforce construction contracts with subcontractors and owners. Organize duties of engineering staff, field office coordinators, project accountants, and other construction project personnel.
Provide direction, prioritization, and performance feedback. Organize and electronically archive construction project files. Prepare, monitor, and update schedules; work with the superintendent to reduce constraints’ impact. Prepare, maintain, and implement construction document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as‑built drawings, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change‑order logs. Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information.
Identify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders. Participate in cost control, maintain internal records, and work with subcontractors to ensure payment. Prepare owner billing by assembling DPR costs, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and organizing documents per owner requirements. Monitor testing, inspection, safety, accident, and permit records. Apply DPR’s Environmental Health and Safety Plan, performing weekly safety audits.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum RequirementsMaster’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in a commercial construction/engineering role.
Special Requirements- Collaborate with modeling teams, trade partners and owner‑furnished equipment vendors to model different components (electrical, HVAC, fire protection, structural members, etc.) and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
- Manage budget for assigned scopes (MEP, structural, or architectural) by interpreting and analyzing cost reports, reviewing and approving change orders in CMiC.
- Collaborate with site scheduler and superintendents to manage the project schedule in Primavera P6, reporting updates for submittals, procurement, and delays due to weather or design or construction changes.
- Review and approve monthly pay applications of trade partners in Textura, ensuring bills match material procured and work performed.
- Create and manage logs for procurement, submittals, and change orders; maintain all documentation in a project‑management tool such as Procore or ACC Build.
- Perform punch walks with design team, document issues in BIM 360 Field, Procore, or ACC Build, and resolve them with trade partners and design team.
- Perform QA/QC of the project in collaboration with field and quality control teams.
- Resolve conflicts effectively with diplomacy among trade partners and client relationships.
- Manage final project closeout by delivering warranties, as‑built drawings, owner training, equipment manuals, and punch‑item list; work with cost team to issue full and final change orders to trade partners.
- Review product data, shop drawings, and engineering submittals for compliance with construction documents.
- Field verify materials delivered and installation methods against contract documents and approved submittals.
Anticipated Starting Pay Range: $134,992 – $155,000
