Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a leading construction business specialising in residential refurbishment, energy efficiency upgrades, and building remediation across the UK. This Estimator role is based from the Warrington office with flexible hybrid working, typically allowing 2–3 days working from home.

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business within the residential renewables and retrofit market. The company delivers large-scale programmes that improve housing quality, energy efficiency, and building performance across the UK.

This Estimator role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects within the rapidly expanding retrofit sector, supporting tenders for residential upgrades including insulation, remediation, and energy performance improvements.

The successful Estimator will join a collaborative pre-construction and commercial team responsible for securing new projects across the housing sector. The Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders while working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are commercially viable and deliverable.

This Estimator position would suit someone with estimating experience within the construction or build environment who is looking to develop their career in a growing and future-focused sector.

Responsibilities

As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for residential refurbishment and retrofit projects

Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation to build detailed cost plans

Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations

Working closely with the commercial and operational teams during the tender process

Assessing project risks and programme requirements within tender submissions

Identifying value engineering opportunities to strengthen bids

Supporting the wider pre-construction team throughout the tender lifecycle
