Job SummarySeeking a qualified Project Estimator for interior fit‑out projects to join our team. This role is critical to our operations and involves preparing accurate proposals for commercial construction projects. Estimator to work directly under Chief Estimator and receive training on processes, guidance, and mentoring.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented and proactive, demonstrates strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally and brings a solid work ethic and eagerness to contribute. Must be adept at overseeing multiple estimating projects simultaneously, balancing the unique demands of each throughout the bid cycle. Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services aligned with project scope and schedule.
- Analyze bid proposals, perform value engineering assessments, and recommend cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets through diligent cost control practices.
- Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual documents to clarify scope, terms, and risk factors.
- Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that facilitate scheduling, resource allocation, and overall project planning.
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Heavy Bid and Bluebeam for accurate bid preparation and plan review.
- Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while fostering positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Strong background in construction estimating techniques including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and value engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with construction site activities or management is highly desirable to better understand field realities.
