Our client, based in Essex
, is currently recruiting for an Asset Manager on a 3-6 month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and offer 2-3 days working from home. The daily rate is negotiable dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing planned works contracts and contract administration.

Duties will include
  • Manage housing improvement and construction contracts, ensuring contractors plan, programme and complete works according to agreed specifications and schedules, and within performance targets and regulations.
  • Manage project works and programmes as detailed by the Planned Works Manager, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
  • Ensure contracts are administered correctly by providing work programmes, instructions, valuations, project reports and budget forecasts/updates.
  • Project‑manage tenant and leaseholder alteration requests, ensuring alterations are inspected, permissions granted/denied, and post‑inspections undertaken once works are complete.
  • Liaise with the Database Team and Inspector to document the tenant and leaseholder alteration process.
  • Provide updates and reports to the Planned Works Manager.
Experience required
  • Contract administration of construction projects.
  • Maintaining working relationships with sub‑contractors.
  • Supervision of dealing with customer complaints.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required
  • Working knowledge of building pathology, repairs, project management and maintenance processes within a local authority or similar organisation.
  • Working knowledge of an Asset Management database.
  • Knowledge of service‑level maintenance contracts.
Working hours ul>
  • 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am‑5pm.
