Contracts Manager – Government Projects
Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance | Permanent Position | Office‑Based with Some Home Working | Site Visits Twice Weekly

A specialist manufacturer and subcontractor supplying secure, high‑performance door and access systems for government and public‑sector projects is looking for a permanent Contracts Manager. The company designs, manufactures and installs bespoke door solutions used in high‑security environments, working closely with main contractors on multi‑site installation programmes. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee installation teams and ensure successful delivery across multiple live sites.

This role suits someone with strong installation management, construction delivery and subcontractor coordination experience. You will work between the office, home and live sites twice a week, ensuring smooth, compliant and well‑organised project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation teams, site managers and subcontractors across multiple live sites

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring quality, safety and compliance

• Plan and programme installation works, labour and schedules

• Coordinate and sign off installations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery

• Ensure RAMS are completed, reviewed and followed

• Act as the main point of contact for the principal contractor

• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual and project compliance

• Support reporting, progress tracking and delivery on projects up to £2m

• Work across multi‑site installation and construction programmes

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced Contracts Manager from a subcontractor or main contractor background

• Strong installation management and site management experience

• Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts

• Confident managing multiple sites and teams

• Able to work independently across home, office and site environments

• HVAC, M&E, fit‑out or installation‑led backgrounds also considered
