Assistant Quantity Surveyor

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a well-established consultancy on an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

This role offers hands-on involvement across cost management and project delivery, providing excellent exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-quality construction projects.

The Role We are partnering with an established construction consultancy who are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of cost and project management services across a broad range of developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious early-career professional to gain exposure to all stages of the project life cycle, from feasibility and design development through procurement, construction, and final account.

You will work closely with senior colleagues, attend project meetings, and liaise with clients, design teams, and contractors, while receiving structured mentoring and training to support your long-term career progression. You will;
Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities Support tender and procurement processes, including measurement and tender analysis Assist with cost control, valuations, financial reporting, and contract administration Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors Support the delivery of projects to agreed cost, time, and quality targets What's in it for you;

The Ideal Candidate ;
Experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach Interest in progressing toward RICS chartership (highly advantageous) Full details will be discussed upon application.
