We serve a variety of public and private clients throughout the Carolinas through our main office in Charlotte, NC, and remote offices in Winston‑Salem, NC, and Greenville, SC. Local travel and field visits are occasionally required to meet with clients, regulators, contractors, or to collect and verify field information.
Responsibilities- Work directly with contractors, engineers, clients, and project managers to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Maintain energi accurate daily records of construction site conditions and activities, including significant events, issues, and communications between parties.
- Photograph construction progress and catalogue photos for future reference.
- Produce required reports on contractor progress, quality, schedule, and budget status.
- Review contractor pay requests, including stored materials.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to evaluate project schedules and prepare status reports.
- Conduct weekly coordination meetings with the contractor; document and distribute meeting minutes.
- Assist with RFI and submittal review.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with construction codes and laws.
- Coordinate and supervise construction materials testing services as needed.
- Associate’s degree in civil engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience in the field, observing and documenting daily construction work activities (ideally in water/wastewater).
- Prior experience as a lead Resident Project Representative, lead inspector, or construction superintendent.
- Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills.
- Accurately track and enter hours worked on projects daily into a timesheet.
- Local travel occasionally to meet with clients, regulators, and contractors, or to collect and verify field information.
- Field visits are routinely required during construction projects.
