Project Manager​/Estimator Commercial Painting

Blair Commercial Painting LLC is a well‑known and award‑winning commercial painting company in Southeast Wisconsin, specializing in interior and exterior painting.

We are expanding in Madison and are seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to lead that growth. This hybrid role combines project management, estimating, and client‑facing sales, with work from a home office in the Madison area and significant time field‑walking buildings and job sites.

Base pay range
: $75,000 – $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

• Oversee commercial painting projects from award through completion.
• Coordinate schedules, crews, and equipment for Madison‑area projects.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Walk through buildings and industrial spaces to measure walls, ceilings, trim, structural steel, etc.
• Take detailed notes and photos using Company Cam and traditional field notes.
• Work with internal estimating tools and support team to build accurate estimates and proposals.
• Follow up on leads generated through existing platforms and relationships (no heavy cold‑calling).
• Present proposals, explain scope and value, and support negotiations to win work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, facility managers, and other decision‑makers.
• Collaborate closely with ownership, production, and estimating support.
• Use Airtable‑based systems and other software to keep information organized and visible to the team.

• Experience in construction project management and/or estimating (3+ years strongly preferred).
• Background in painting, coatings, or a related construction trade is a plus, but not strictly required if you have strong estimating/PM experience.
• Comfortable walking commercial/industrial sites and learning how to measure and evaluate painting scopes.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working with people, and can communicate clearly with clients and crews.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage your own schedule from a home office while being in the field most days.
• Tech‑comfortable: able to use Company Cam (or similar), Google Workspace, and database/PM tools (Airtable or similar).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly around the Madison region.
