BCS connect are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist in drainage surveys, for a Drainage Operative in the Wolverhampton area. Our client is a recognised specialist within the Highways sector, delivering essential surveys and inspections to support infrastructure projects. Work involves carrying out a range of drainage surveys, including:

• CCTV drainage surveys
• Geo-spatial surveys on highways
• Pipework inspections and identifying defects

You will be a part of a team responsible for surveying drainage networks, reporting on pipework conditions, and ensuring safety and compliance across highways environments.

• Perform drainage surveys, asset inspections, GPS surveying, and vegetation clearance in line with project requirements.
• Safely operate and maintain tools, plant, and company vehicles.
• Accurately collect survey data and complete all necessary site documentation and reports.
• Adhere strictly to SHEQ policies and procedures, reporting any hazards immediately.
• Work collaboratively with the Site Supervisor and colleagues to maintain a productive and safe working environment.

• Full UK driving licence (Essential)
• Flexible approach to work hours, including night shifts, weekends, and staying away from home during the working week (Essential)
• Valid CSCS card (Essential)
• Valid Safety critical medical certificate (Preferable)
• Previous experience in drainage, surveying, or general construction/labouring (Preferable)

Temporary to Permanent position;
Successful candidates who pass the probation period will be offered full‑time contracts with career progression opportunities.
