* Job Summary:

** Assist in managing the ongoing programming in assigned classroom(s) in a professional and confidential manner and in a way which incorporates the developmental/culturally sensitive philosophy of the Center to ensure the highest quality of care, as well as compliance with NAEYC standards, DEEC requirements, and health and safety regulations.

* Supervisory Responsibilities:

* *** Duties/Responsibilities:
*** Assist in implementing a curriculum and maintaining an environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace, as well as interact comfortably with adults.
* Supervise children in play and structured activities.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for children; performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
* Greet parents daily
* Communicates any out of ordinary information regarding the children to the classroom teacher.
* Perform other duties as requested and tasks as assigned by supervisor.## Qualifications
** Required Skills/Abilities:
*** Ability to relate with co-workers and parents in cooperative/positive manner while supporting students with diverse learning needs and promoting respectful interactions.
* Ability to work with families and children of diverse cultural backgrounds

* Education and Experience:

*** High school diploma or equivalent
* DEEC Preschool Teacher certification required
* Minimum 18 years of age
* Experience working with children
*
* Physical Requirements:

*** Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
* Must be able to bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.
* Run or move quickly to respond to emergency situations
