OverviewSUMMARY
Responsible for crafting well-written, accurate and compelling responses to RFPs. Responsible for directly supporting growth targets by consistently delivering persuasive new sales and renewal proposals that effectively articulate Alliant's unique value proposition and competitive differentiators. This role works collaboratively with the business team to support proposal execution and process consistency.
Responsibilities- Writes tailored, persuasive and high-quality responses to RFPs to support the firm’s business development and retention efforts.
- Manages assigned RFPs from intake through submission, ensuring deadlines, compliance requirements, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborates with the team to align on messaging, prioritization, and proposal strategy.
- Operates independently within established proposal processes while escalating questions or risks as needed.
- Supports development of win themes and key messaging in collaboration with the business leaders and Sales teams.
- Utilizes the firm's tools, databases, and content management platforms, as well as collaborates with teams across the organization to craft differentiated, well positioned responses; ensures that questions are comprehensively answered and that written responses are appropriately customized for the specific opportunity.
- Works within our structured, organized RFP process that incorporates stakeholder inputs, reviews and strict deadlines.
- Develops a strong knowledge base of the firm's products and approach and other aspects of the corporate platform to effectively understand and respond to client requests.
- Creates and customizes content for RFPs, RFIs, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), presentations and other marketing materials as requested.
- Maintains and updates content within proposal automation and content management systems according to established standards.
- Contributes to improving processes for working with subject matter experts to facilitate accurate and effective description of capabilities in sales proposals.
- Edits proposals for responsiveness, accuracy, clarity, style, and adherence to sales strategy.
- Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather accurate information and ensure comprehensive responses.
- Identifies opportunities to improve proposal efficiency and consistency within the established RFP framework.
- Adheres to Alliant’s policies, procedures and core values, and demonstrates the importance of those values to others.
- Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two (2) or more years relevant experience in new business proposal (RFP) writing, marketing or project management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to interpret RFP requirements and produce accurate, compliant, and high-quality submissions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines independently within a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Leadership, Sales, Service teams, and Subject Matter Experts.
