Finance Compliance Officer
. North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Compliance Officer to ensure taxpayer dollars are used appropriately. This person will play a critical role in safeguarding public funds while ensuring the agency is compliant with state and federal regulations.

As a Finance Compliance Officer
, you will ensure Rural Healthcare Transformation funds are used appropriately, rules are followed, and risks are kept to a minimum across all programs. You will review contracts and documents to ensure alignment with federal and state laws, including rules 2 CFR Part 200 and OMB circulars. You will also help with accurate FFATA reporting, request corrective action plans when needed, and provide guidance to those who receive grant money.

In addition, you will review spending, provide training on compliance rules, and explain grant policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position
, you must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and at least two (2) years of professional experience in accounting or auditing.

Location
: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work from home anywhere in North Dakota with the ability and willingness to work during regular business hours. Occasional travel to Bismarck, ND will be required.
