General Manager, International Athletics – Crimson Education

Crimson Education has built International Athletics into a global business serving athletes across 25+ countries. We’re now looking for a General Manager to scale growth and lead the unit with the resources of a larger organization.
The OpportunityAs General Manager, you’ll run International Athletics like the CEO of your own company—with the support of Crimson Education. You will build marketing presence, enable global sales teams, close deals, and drive strong growth.
What Youll Do- Own the Unit End-to-End:
Set strategy, make decisions, and own revenue outcomes - Work closely with Head of Marketing (Athletics) to build campaigns and accelerate growth
- Oversee a small team of strategists who deliver service to student-athletes
- Partner with country managers across 25+ markets to scale sales
- Drive Revenue Growth:
Enable local sales teams globally to sell Athletics packages effectively - Lead athletics sales consultations where recruiting experience is the credibility driver
- Build our Instagram, website, and marketing presence
- Identify expansion opportunities through partnerships, new markets, or service improvements
- Manage Service & Team:
Ensure consistently excellent outcomes for student-athletes - Manage full-time and part-time strategists
- Recruit and build the team as we scale, with support from our recruitment team
- Work with other product GMs at Crimson navigating similar challenges
- Navigate the Matrix:
Coordinate with local sales and marketing teams who primarily sell Crimson s core services - Build trust and alignment across a global, remote organization
- Prove ROI and earn resources through strong performance
Required
- You recruited as an international athlete to a top US or UK university
- Strong sales or business development skills—you ve closed deals and hit targets
- Self-directed and entrepreneurial—you figure things out and drive outcomes
- Comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and moving quickly
- Genuinely excited about helping international student-athletes
- Comfortable working remotely (we re a global, distributed team)
Preferred
- Experience managing teams or working in matrix organizations
- Current or recent role in athletics recruiting, coaching, or advising
- Track record at a high-growth company or startup
- Located in a timezone that allows calls with Asia, Australia, and North America
