Trimtab is an unapologetically impact-first financial institution. Built by and for a community of asset owners who believe that capital can be used to create not just extract, Trimtab explores what is possible on the front edge of impact finance - when capital's main objective is not risk-adjusted return, but the rigorous pursuit of generating additional impact. We often say that Trimtab is a living experiment in financial systems change.
Our team is obsessed with using our rigor and creativity to get capital into the hands of fund managers and capital entrepreneurs who are closest to the problems that need to be solved.
Trimtab, now an independent entity, was incubated by The ImPact, a community of nearly 100 family offices around the world who have committed to aligning their assets with their values. With a small and growing community of impact-prioritizing investors, over the past two years we have committed $18.5 million across twelve investments to fund managers tackling critical social and environmental challenges.
Whether it’s financing forests, empowering indigenous communities, or safeguarding oceans, we look for scalable, replicable models for change.
Our structure is designed to maximize impact. We’re a public benefit corporation governed by a purpose trust, designed for long-term mission alignment and flexibility to raise and deploy impact-first capital.
And we’re just getting started. Currently a team of five working closely alongside our Board, Trustees, advisors and investors, we are hiring two additional FTEs in 2026 – a Managing Director of Investor Community (see separate posting) and this Associate.
