Sourcing Process Intern
USG Strategic Sourcing is responsible for procuring raw materials, goods, and services that contribute to the manufacturing of our products. Within the Sourcing group, the Procurement Excellence team equips the Sourcing group with the policies, procedures, tools, and assistance needed to achieve their strategic goals.
Responsibilities- Executing procurement excellence operations using USG’s ERP system, reporting tools, and other job-related solutions.
- Creating flowcharts and detailing step‑by‑step process instructions for key purchasing and procurement activities in collaboration with team members to improve process efficiencies.
- Developing procurement metrics for category/item spend management and conducting data analysis to support cost improvement initiatives.
- Creating and updating procurement manuals, purchasing policies, SOPs, and SOWs in line with operational needs and procurement best practices.
- Collaborating closely with the Sourcing Team and Sourcing Process Intern on data corrections throughout the purchasing process.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in business, supply chain, or manufacturing at an accredited institution.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office products:
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Understanding of statistics and data analysis.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Power
BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is a plus.

This is an in-person position:
Monday – Thursday in the office;
Fridays – work from home.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
