The Sales Leader (Mgr‑Sales) is responsible for leading a team of 7+ Account Executives based within the UK/EMEA, reporting to the Senior Sales Director in the UK.
As a pivotal leader, you will be responsible for your teams’ revenue generation through the acquisition of net new logos and partnerships to cultivate existing relationships for new upsell opportunities. You will foster a culture of continuous learning within the Business Development team through performance management and coaching.
You will set process and structure that enables the team to establish new contacts, leads, sales pipeline and source new business opportunities. You will build and nurture strategic relationships (top tier consultants, key channel alliances and key customers) to support year‑over‑year revenue growth as we establish TELUS Health as one of the top players in the EMEA wellbeing market.
This role is open to candidates across the UK (remote).
What you’ll do:- Assign team growth targets and develop execution strategies to meet and/or exceed set targets.
- Track team goals and objectives to ensure corporate mandate is met or exceeded, this includes reviewing monthly and quarterly business development metrics.
- Review and interpret performance against operating plans; provide and present to executive leadership on performance results, interpreting industry and market trends.
- Focus on training, continuous learning and ensuring that best practices are followed.
- Partner closely with the Customer Success Leadership and broader team to achieve up‑sell targets.
- Serve as the leadership sponsor for key, critical accounts.
- Collaborate closely with business development leadership on overall market growth strategy.
- Collaborate closely with EMEA leaders across all lines of business to discover and develop strategic opportunities for growth.
- Ensure sales leadership is aware of service capabilities/enhancements.
- Serve as a point of escalation and support retention and pipeline from top tier consultants.
- Develop and leverage relationships to support new business leads and revenue expansion.
- Minimum 5‑7 years of directly related work experience; managing a sales/new business team.
- Strong acumen in performance metrics management, continuous improvement, and revenue risk.
- Experience with health, mental health, wellbeing, employee support services and the associated technology is a significant asset.
- Proven operations leadership including sales cycle, operations effectiveness, and program delivery.
- A successful track record of building rewarding partnerships with clients, and forging collaborative relationships with colleagues and business leaders.
- Proven experience in effective implementation of new customer sales.
- A strong consultative approach to problem‑solving and conflict resolution.
- A highly analytical approach to understanding data and making business decisions and recommendations according to that information.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills required, including the proven ability to effectively prioritize between multiple objectives and manage high pressure, deadline‑driven situations.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and coaching skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software (ex. Salesforce).
- University degree, preferably in Business.
